Most companies calling themselves stand builders subcontract the build. We do not. Echo Expo fabricates in its own workshops in Milan and Casablanca — carpentry, metalwork, painting and finishing under our own roof, by people we employ. That is the difference between a contractor and a broker, and it shows up in three places: what a change costs mid-project, who answers when something is wrong on site, and whether the stand that arrives matches the render you approved.

Materials and Finishes
Timber frame and panel construction, aluminium systems, MDF and laminate finishes, painted joinery, tensioned fabric, raised and level flooring, integrated lighting and cable management. Sustainability is a build decision rather than a marketing line: the 100 m² Jaipur Rugs stand at Salone del Mobile was built with a recycled timber structure, natural walls and recycled carpet because the brief called for it.

Working From Your Design or Ours
We build from your approved 3D design or design from a brief. Either way we produce the technical layouts the venue needs for organiser approval — loadings, electrical runs, rigging points and hall compliance — and we produce them as part of the project rather than as an extra.

How Much Should an Exhibition Stand in Europe Cost?
Realistic budgeting for Europe comes down to three variables: your booth’s footprint, whether you’re building custom or modular, and how far ahead you start. The 8–10-week lead time we recommend isn’t arbitrary. It’s the point past which freight and production costs start climbing due to rush fees. If you’re planning multiple shows this year, ask us about a modular system scoped for reuse. It usually costs more than a single custom stand upfront but less across the full season.
Questions Worth Asking Before You Commit
Beyond the standard checklist, a few less obvious questions are worth raising early when planning a stand for Europe: does the venue allow overnight access during build-up, is there a dedicated loading dock or shared access with other exhibitors, and what’s the actual cancellation or rescheduling policy if the show date shifts. These details rarely show up in a show organizer’s exhibitor manual until you go looking. They can materially affect both timeline and cost. We check these specifics as a standard part of scoping any Europe project rather than assuming a standard process applies.

What If Our Booth Size Changes Close to the Show?
It happens more often than exhibitors expect. An organizer reallocates hall space, or a last-minute budget change means scaling a booth up or down. We build a small amount of flexibility into the design and material order wherever the venue and timeline allow, so a modest size change doesn’t automatically mean starting the design process over from scratch.
Can you ship a stand built elsewhere in Europe to Europe, instead of building locally?
Built, shipped and installed by one team. Recent fabrication includes a 100 m² stand for Jaipur Rugs at Salone del Mobile, Fiera Milano, booths C10 and C12; a 40 m² stand for GETX Fabrics at Heimtextil, Messe Frankfurt, stand 4.0 B38; and three stands at a single CPHI Milan edition — 42 m², 63 m² and 36 m². Do you build the stands yourselves or subcontract?
We fabricate in our own workshops in Milan, Italy and Casablanca, Morocco, and install with our own team. We are a contractor with in-house production, not a broker. The people who quote your stand are the people who build it.
What materials do you work in?
Timber frame and panel construction, aluminium systems, MDF and laminate, painted joinery, tensioned fabric, raised and level flooring, and integrated lighting. Choice depends on the venue, the freight route and how many times the stand needs to travel.
Can you build from a design we already have?
Yes. We work from your approved 3D design, or design from a brief. Either way we produce the technical layouts the venue requires for organiser approval.
Do you handle venue approvals and compliance?
Yes. Technical layouts, electrical connection requests, loadings and build-up scheduling are handled as part of the project, not billed as extras.
How far ahead do you need to start fabrication?
Six months for a standard build, nine for anything above 50 sqm or with heavy structural elements. The binding constraints are the hall build-up window and, for non-EU freight, ten to twelve weeks of customs lead time.
