Suncell — 52 sqm Stand at JEC World, Paris

52 m² · Hall 5, stand M02 · JEC World 2026, Paris Nord Villepinte · 10–12 March 2026

JEC World is the global meeting point for composite materials, and the 2026 edition filled Halls 5 and 6 at Paris Nord Villepinte with around 1,300 exhibiting brands. Suncell came to launch a cellulose filament — a bio-based reinforcement fibre for green composites — and needed a 52 m² stand that could carry that story without shouting.

The brief: make a material feel like nature

Suncell’s product line is a filament harvested from wood cellulose. The stand had to communicate that in the first three seconds, on a hall floor surrounded by chemical and resin manufacturers whose stands are mostly white, grey and corporate.

We built the answer from three materials: oak-finish laminate, matt white solid surface, and preserved foliage. Living-look green walls were set into the structure rather than hung on it, so the planting reads as part of the architecture. A continuous green LED trim traces the outline of every major element, tying the whole 52 m² together at eye level.

A circular meeting pod as the centrepiece

The middle of the stand is a free-standing circular pod — a two-tier drum in white and oak, ringed with a continuous light line and skirted with potted planting. It carries the brand name on all four approaches, so the stand reads correctly no matter which aisle a visitor arrives from.

Curved corners appear throughout — on the reception counter, the display arches and the low planting benches. Every one of those radii was cut and finished in our own workshop, because a curved edge that is even slightly off reads as cheap under exhibition lighting.

Product display without vitrines

Composite filament is not a product that photographs well in a glass case. Instead we built an open display arch with horizontal sample rails, letting visitors handle the fibre directly, and set the technical panel — performance graphs, processability data, application sectors — on a full-height wood-framed wall beside it.

Build-up in a three-day window

JEC World runs a tight build. The stand arrived flat-packed from our workshop, and the crew assembled structure, planting, lighting and graphics inside the organiser’s build window, finishing ahead of the hall opening on 10 March.

Why this one matters

It is a sustainability story told through the stand itself rather than through a slogan on a banner. For a company launching a bio-based material into a sector built on petrochemical resins, the build had to be evidence, not decoration.
