The challenge
Salone del Mobile has the most design-literate audience in the exhibition calendar — furniture designers, architects and specifiers who read a joint, a reveal and a finish the way a chef reads a plate. A stand that passes without comment at a trade fair gets judged here on detail quality alone. Two adjacent booths added a second problem: C10 and C12 had to read as one 100 sqm room, not two stands sharing a wall.
The build
The signed contract specifies a wood structure built from recycled materials. What was actually delivered: a recycled timber structure, natural-material walls and recycled carpet underfoot — the sustainability is built into the fabric of the stand, not printed on a sign. This is Echo Expo's largest documented build to date, and its most design-critical placement.
Why it matters
This is the most persuasive line in the Echo Expo portfolio for a large-footprint enquiry, because it answers the only question that kind of buyer actually asks: have you done this size before, and where? 100 sqm, named booths, named pavilion, Fiera Milano, six days — and a sustainability credential that's contractual rather than marketing.
