The challenge
Ambiente is the world’s largest consumer-goods fair, and it fills the whole of Messe Frankfurt for five days every February. For a carpet and mat manufacturer the display problem is specific: the range is the product. A buyer needs to see dozens of patterns, weights and finishes, compare them side by side, and physically handle the pile — all inside a footprint that also has to hold a conversation about order quantities.
Laid flat, that range would need a floor the size of a showroom. The stand had to make the collection readable vertically instead.
The build
Echo Expo built an illuminated portal entrance carrying the brand mark above head height, so the stand identified itself down the aisle rather than only at the threshold. Inside, the collection was hung on vertical display bays with backlit surrounds, letting a visitor scan the range at eye level and pull individual pieces forward to feel them. A freestanding sample tower near the entrance carried smaller swatches for quick comparison.
Lighting was the deciding detail. Textile colour shifts badly under the wrong source, and a buyer who cannot trust the colour on the stand will not trust it in the container either — so the display bays were lit individually rather than relying on ambient hall light.

Ambiente adds a second Messe Frankfurt event to Echo Expo’s record alongside Heimtextil 2025, and both fall in the same textiles and interiors world. Two builds at the same venue in the same season is a practical claim, not a marketing one: it means the crew already knows the hall access rules, the build-up windows and the contractor requirements before the first crate arrives.
