What a materials stand has to do
Put the sample within reach, from both sides
Buyers assess a material by handling it and comparing two grades side by side. That needs a structure holding physical samples at hand height, reachable from more than one direction, with standing room around it — hanging bars, sampling counters, open grid units. A sample display flat against a back wall is a display; the same unit on a corner is a reason to step onto the stand.
Colour-accurate light, or the assessment is wrong
Dye lots, leather finishes and roast colours are judged by eye. A warm or coloured lamp changes the verdict, and a buyer who signs off a shade under bad light finds out later. Lighting specification is a commercial decision on a materials stand, not a decorative one.
Weight and hanging
Fabric lengths, hides and rolls are heavy and need to hang straight. Backwall bars, rails and suspended structures have to be engineered for the actual load rather than the appearance of one — and anything suspended is ordered from the venue weeks before the show.
Room to sit down with a sample book
Materials are specified in long conversations over a sample book, not bought off an aisle. Seated positions and a table surface are not hospitality on a stand like this — they are the working area.
Sustainability, which this sector is judged on twice
Textile and materials exhibitors increasingly sell on recycled content and circularity — so a single-use stand built from MDF cut on site undercuts the message on the wall behind it. Reusable construction matters more here than almost anywhere.

Yes. In September 2022 we built at Lineapelle and SIMAC Tanning Tech simultaneously — 96 m² across two concurrent shows in the same halls.
