76.5 m² at the hardest show in the business to look good at
interzum is the world fair for furniture production and interior surfaces. Every exhibitor in the hall makes surfaces for a living, and every one of them has brought their best finish. You cannot win that room on material quality, because the whole room is material quality.
So the stand was built to win it on three other things: height, light, and somewhere to sit down.

Why the LED wall faces outward
The obvious place for a video wall is inside the stand, where visitors who have already stopped can watch it. We put it on the outside face of the lounge instead, so it does its work on people who have not stopped yet.
A laminate sample tells you nothing from eight metres away. Moving light does. The wall is the reason the stand pulls traffic off an aisle where every neighbour is showing the same category of product.
Category walls, not a sample library
Laminate brands default to showing everything: hundreds of chips on a rack. It looks thorough and it reads as noise.
This stand splits the offer into named category walls — interior and exterior compacts, veneer layons, table tops — each one backlit and labelled. A specifier walks up already knowing which wall is theirs, and the conversation starts at the third question instead of the first.
The Cologne build window
Koelnmesse runs interzum across its main halls with a tight shared build period, and an island plot of this size has to be craned, floored, painted and lit inside it. Custom paint finish means wet work on site, which has to be dry and dust-free before graphics go on and before the hall opens.
That sequencing is the real difficulty on a stand like this, and it is invisible in every photograph of the finished thing.
