Koelnmesse sits on the right bank of the Rhine opposite the cathedral, with its own railway station, which helps visitors but means delivery traffic in the build-up days is tightly scheduled.
How we plan a stand in Cologne
- Brief and design: stand number, size, hall plan, brand guidelines and products, then concept, 3D views and your approval.
- Organiser and venue paperwork: drawings and the forms in the exhibitor manual, including any structure over the standard height, rigging points and electrical orders.
- Workshop fabrication: the stand is built and test-assembled in our own workshop before it travels, so the build in the hall is assembly, not construction.
- Freight, build and dismantling: road freight from our Milan workshop into Germany, our own crew on site, then dismantling and return.
What to plan for at Koelnmesse
- Material shows set a high bar: at interzum, visitors are surface and furniture specialists, so finishes and joinery are judged closely. We build sample walls and finishes in the workshop first.
- Food shows run on logistics: at Anuga and ISM, stands often need kitchens, cold storage and tasting counters, planned with the organiser’s technical services.
- Book early for the biggest fairs: Anuga and gamescom fill Cologne’s hotels; brief your builder four to six months ahead.
