Exhibition Stand Romania
Custom Exhibition Booth Design & Build for Bucharest
Exhibition Stand Romania - Echo Expo
Romania has quietly become one of Eastern Europe’s fastest-growing manufacturing and IT outsourcing markets. Its exhibition sector has grown alongside it. Bucharest trade shows increasingly draw Western European exhibitors looking to source manufacturing partners or enter a market with a young, technically skilled workforce and lower operating costs than Western Europe. Often before those same exhibitors have committed to shows further west in the EU.
An Emerging Market, Not Yet an Established One
Romania’s exhibition infrastructure is real but less standardized than Germany’s or France’s. Hall rules, supplier networks. Even electrical standards on-site can vary more between venues than in more established Western markets. We plan Romanian projects with extra verification of on-site technical specifics rather than assuming they’ll match a Western European venue by default.
Where We Build
- Romexpo, Bucharest — Romania's principal exhibition venue, hosting major industrial, construction, and consumer fairs.
- ROMAERO Exhibition Centre, Bucharest — used for a mix of trade and consumer-facing exhibitions.
Freight & Customs
As an EU member state, Romania allows free movement of goods for EU-origin shipments. Non-EU shipments require standard customs documentation or an ATA Carnet for reusable stand materials. We recommend starting logistics planning 10 weeks ahead, slightly longer than in more established Western European markets, to allow time for on-site verification of venue specifics.
Working with Romanian Teams
- Business culture blends Western European formality with a more relationship-driven pace found further east — allow time for both.
- English is widely spoken in business and IT sectors in Bucharest, though not universally at smaller regional shows.
- Decision-makers are often personally present at the stand, especially at smaller, growth-stage Romanian companies.
What We Deliver
- Bespoke and modular stand design
- 3D visualization before production begins
- On-site technical verification ahead of build
- Freight, customs coordination, and warehousing
- Installation, on-site technical support, and dismantling
Industries Exhibiting in Romania
Manufacturing, information technology and outsourcing, construction and building materials, agriculture, and automotive parts make up the bulk of Romania’s exhibition traffic. We’ve supported exhibitors across each of these sectors, with particular experience helping Western European brands assess and enter the Romanian manufacturing market.
Recent Work Across Europe
- A manufacturing sourcing stand at Romexpo for a Western European industrial buyer.
- An IT services exhibition booth at Romexpo for a European software outsourcing firm.
- A construction materials pavilion at Romexpo for a building products exporter.
Planning Your Budget and Timeline for Romania
Three things move the price of a Romania stand more than anything else: the size of the space, whether the build is fully custom or a reusable modular system. How much runway you give freight and documentation before the show. Starting inside our recommended 10-week window keeps costs predictable — late bookings almost always mean paying a premium for expedited production or freight, not saving time for free. For exhibitors returning to Romania annually, a modular system also spreads the initial investment across multiple shows rather than starting from zero each time.
Frequently Asked Questions
– Exhibiting in Romania
Which venues do you cover in Romania?
Romexpo Bucharest, ROMAERO Exhibition Centre, and other regional venues on request.
Is the exhibition infrastructure as standardized as Western Europe?
Not always. Venue specifics can vary more than in Germany or France, so we verify on-site technical details ahead of the build rather than assuming a standard spec.
How we reach Romania. Fabrication happens in Milan and Casablanca; freight into Romania follows the corridors we already use for Croatia and Serbia. The team that designs the stand installs it and takes it down. Recent European work includes three stands delivered at a single CPHI Milan edition — 42 m², 63 m² and 36 m² — more on recent projects, with on-site images under production photos. Send the event, stand size and hall for an itemised quotation.
Do you handle customs for non-EU shipments?
Yes. We coordinate ATA Carnet processing and standard import documentation.
How early should we start planning?
At least 10 weeks ahead, allowing time for on-site verification of venue specifics.

Exhibition stands in Romania — common questions
Do you build exhibition stands in Romania?
Yes. We design and fabricate in our own workshops in Milan, Italy and Casablanca, Morocco, then ship in and install with our own team. The same people handle design, production, freight, installation and dismantling, so there is one point of contact throughout.
How do freight and customs work for Romania?
As an EU member state, Romania allows free movement of goods from our Milan workshop, so no customs declaration is needed for stand materials moving from Italy. Exhibitors shipping from outside the EU still need an ATA Carnet or standard import documentation, and we allow ten to twelve weeks for that.
How far in advance should we plan a stand in Romania?
Allow six months for a standard build and nine months for anything above 50 sqm or with heavy structural elements. Road freight from Milan reaches Romania quickly, but the hall build-up window and organiser approvals are scheduled tightly, so early planning is what protects the timeline.
Can you build if we already have a design?
Yes. We work from your approved 3D design, or design from a brief. Either way we produce the technical layouts the venue needs for organiser approval, and we quote each element separately so nothing appears as an extra during build-up.
