Exhibition Stand Slovenia

Slovenia is small, but its location does a lot of the work for exhibitors — Ljubljana sits within a few hours’ drive of Austria, Italy, Croatia, and Hungary, and its trade fairs often draw a genuinely cross-border audience rather than a purely domestic one. It’s a market some exhibitors use specifically as a low-cost way to test Balkan and northern Italian demand from a single, compact show.

Where We Build

Freight & Customs

As an EU member state, Slovenia allows free movement of goods for EU-origin shipments. Non-EU shipments require standard customs documentation or an ATA Carnet for reusable stand materials. We recommend starting logistics planning 8–10 weeks ahead.

What We Deliver

Industries Exhibiting in Slovenia

Manufacturing, tourism, logistics, construction, and food processing make up the bulk of Slovenia’s exhibition traffic. We’ve supported exhibitors across each of these, with particular experience helping brands use Ljubljana as a cross-border test market for the Balkans and northern Italy.

What Drives Cost for a Slovenia Exhibition Stand

Budget for a Slovenia project is shaped by a few concrete factors more than anything else: booth size, whether you choose a custom build or a reusable modular system, and how far in advance you’re able to lock in freight and (where relevant) customs processing.

Booking outside our recommended 8–10-week window rarely saves money. It usually means paying rush rates on production or freight instead. A modular system built for reuse across several shows also tends to bring your effective cost per event down over a season, even if the first show costs slightly more upfront than a one-off build.

Preparing for Your First Show in Slovenia

First-time exhibitors in Slovenia get the most value out of the process by coming to the initial consultation with a few things already settled: your booth’s confirmed dimensions from the show organizer, any brand guideline documents for graphics. A rough sense of whether this is a one-off show or the start of a recurring presence in the region. That last point matters more than it sounds. It changes whether we recommend a custom build or a modular system designed for reuse. The earlier we know your full show calendar, the more we can plan freight and fabrication to serve more than just this one event.

Frequently Asked Questions

– Exhibiting in Slovenia

Can you ship a stand built elsewhere in Europe to Slovenia, instead of building locally?

Yes, in many cases. If you already have a modular stand from another European show, we can assess whether it’s a practical fit for Slovenia’s venue and freight route rather than building a new one from scratch.

Which venue do you cover in Slovenia?

Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, and other venues on request.

Can Slovenia work as a cross-border test market?

Yes. Its location makes it a practical, low-cost way to gauge demand from the Balkans and northern Italy before committing to shows in those markets directly.

Building in Slovenia from Milan. Our workshop in Milan sits a short road haul from Slovenia, and we run the same route for Austria and Switzerland. Design, fabrication, freight, installation and dismantling stay with one team. Recent European work includes a 40 m² stand for GETX Fabrics at Heimtextil, Messe Frankfurt, stand 4.0 B38 — see more on recent projects or the workshop shots under production photos. Send the event, stand size and hall and we will quote it itemised.

How early should we start planning?

8–10 weeks ahead.

Exhibition stands in Slovenia — common questions

Do you build exhibition stands in Slovenia?

Yes. We design and fabricate in our own workshops in Milan, Italy and Casablanca, Morocco, then ship in and install with our own team. The same people handle design, production, freight, installation and dismantling, so there is one point of contact throughout.

How do freight and customs work for Slovenia?

As an EU member state, Slovenia allows free movement of goods from our Milan workshop, so no customs declaration is needed for stand materials moving from Italy. Exhibitors shipping from outside the EU still need an ATA Carnet or standard import documentation, and we allow ten to twelve weeks for that.

How far in advance should we plan a stand in Slovenia?

Allow six months for a standard build and nine months for anything above 50 sqm or with heavy structural elements. Road freight from Milan reaches Slovenia quickly, but the hall build-up window and organiser approvals are scheduled tightly, so early planning is what protects the timeline.

Can you build if we already have a design?

Yes. We work from your approved 3D design, or design from a brief. Either way we produce the technical layouts the venue needs for organiser approval, and we quote each element separately so nothing appears as an extra during build-up.
