Event: INDEX™23 — the world’s leading nonwovens exhibition · Venue: Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland
Client: Hassan Group · Sector: Nonwovens and technical textiles
Size: 228 m² · Dates: 18–21 April 2023
The largest stand in our record
At 228 m², this is the biggest exhibition stand the team has delivered — almost 70% larger than the 135 m² Aircraft Interiors Expo build in Hamburg two months later.
Delivered for Hassan Group by the team that now designs and fabricates under the Echo Expo name. Echo Expo SARL was founded in 2025 by a team carrying over 20 years of hands-on exhibition experience.
Why INDEX is not a normal show to build at
INDEX runs at Palexpo once every three years. The 2023 edition drew more than 600 exhibitors from 40 countries across filtration, medical, hygiene, geotextiles, packaging, construction and transport.
That cadence changes everything about the build:
- There is no next quarter. At an annual show a mistake costs you twelve months. Here it costs you three years. Nobody accepts a compromise on a triennial stand
- The space is fought over. With one edition every three years, exhibitors commit to large footprints and expect them to look like the investment they are
- The audience is technical and international. Forty countries of specification engineers and procurement leads, judging materials at close range
What 228 m² actually demands
A stand this size stops being a structure and becomes a small building.
- It is read from across the hall. At 228 m² the silhouette and the upper structure do the work long before anyone reaches the counter. Proportion at distance is the design problem
- Circulation has to be designed. Visitors need a route through it. Badly zoned, a large stand feels emptier than a small one
- Structural documentation is unavoidable. Palexpo requires calculations and approvals for a build of this scale, and the deadlines close weeks before build-up
- It is a logistics exercise. Multiple trucks, a sequenced load order, and an install crew large enough to work several zones at once inside a fixed build-up window
- Nothing can be improvised on site. At this scale an error is not absorbed by the schedule — it consumes it
Why it matters
Most contractors have a largest project they refer to without naming. This is ours, with the venue, the size and the dates attached: 228 m², Palexpo Geneva, 18–21 April 2023.
It also anchors Switzerland as a delivery market alongside our work at AidEx, also at Palexpo, World of Coffee in Geneva and Zurich Openair. Four Swiss projects, two of them in the same venue.

Frequently asked questions
What is the largest exhibition stand Echo Expo has built?
228 m², for Hassan Group at INDEX™23, Palexpo Geneva, 18–21 April 2023. The next largest is 135 m² at Aircraft Interiors Expo, Hamburg, in June the same year.
Can you build stands over 200 m²?
Yes. Above roughly 150 m² the constraint stops being fabrication and becomes structural documentation, freight sequencing and crew size — all of which we handle in-house rather than subcontract.
Do you work at Palexpo Geneva?
Regularly. INDEX and AidEx are both Palexpo builds. See every exhibition and venue we build at.
