The project
A 55 m² stand at SIAL Paris, Paris Nord Villepinte, for a Sharjah export and import exhibitor at the world’s largest food innovation exhibition.
Delivered by the team that now designs and fabricates under the Echo Expo name. Echo Expo SARL was founded in 2025 by a team carrying over 20 years of hands-on exhibition experience.
Five days changes how a stand is built
SIAL runs five days. Most European trade fairs run three or four, and the difference is not a detail — it shows up in the specification.
- Wear becomes visible. Edges, counter fronts and flooring that look fine after three days start showing five days of traffic. Materials are chosen for the duration, not for the photograph
- Sampling compounds. Food exhibitors sample continuously. Five days means more replenishment, more waste handling and more cleaning access — and all of it has to happen without dismantling the display
- Staff rotate. A stand worked by changing teams needs storage and workflow obvious to someone arriving on day four, not just to the person who set it up
- Stock has to live somewhere. Five days of product, packaging and literature is a real volume. Back-of-house is not a nicety at this show
Food and beverage is a sampling environment
At SIAL the product goes in the visitor’s mouth, which puts demands on a stand that most sectors never face.
- Preparation and service surfaces that are cleanable and stay presentable through constant use
- Refrigeration and power planned against a confirmed electrical supply, not an assumption
- Waste separation designed in, because it is generated continuously and cannot be visible
- Clear sightlines to the product — buyers walk kilometres of aisle and stop for what they can see
Why it matters
This is our largest documented French build, and it adds food and beverage to a record that already covers food ingredients at Fi Europe and Vitafoods Europe.
It also sits with our other Paris projects — JEC World at the same venue, plus Paris Packaging Week and Maison & Objet.
