Short answer: brief your stand builder about four months before a spring 2027 show in Morocco. That means mid-November 2026 for Solaire Expo Maroc in March, early December for Morocco HomeTex, and mid- to late December for SIAM and GITEX Africa in late April. A custom stand needs design, organiser approval and full prefabrication before the short build window opens. Lire cet article en français.
This guide gives the dates to work back from for each show, and it explains why exhibition stands in Morocco need an early brief. The planning steps come from our own builds at OFEC Casablanca and from the organisers’ exhibitor manuals.
Spring 2027 shows in Morocco: when to brief your stand builder
The show dates below are confirmed or listed by the organisers. The other dates are working targets for a custom stand, calculated back from each opening day.
| Show | Dates | Brief your builder by | Approve the design by | Drawings to the organiser by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solaire Expo Maroc, OFEC, Casablanca | 16–18 March 2027 | 16 November 2026 | 5 January 2027 | 2 February 2027 |
| Morocco HomeTex, OFEC, Casablanca | 1–4 April 2027 | 1 December 2026 | 21 January 2027 | 18 February 2027 |
| SIAM, Meknes | 19–27 April 2027 | 19 December 2026 | 8 February 2027 | 8 March 2027 |
| GITEX Africa, Marrakech | 26–28 April 2027 | 26 December 2026 | 15 February 2027 | 15 March 2027 |
For a modular or a simple stand you can start later. However, a brief after these dates usually means fewer design options and less time for changes.
Why spring 2027 shows in Morocco need an early brief
- Short build windows. At OFEC Casablanca, organisers often allow only one or two build days. As a result, every part of the stand is made in the workshop first.
- Organiser approval. Drawings go to the organiser six to eight weeks before the show. Structures over 3.0 m, double decks and raised platforms need extra paperwork; the OFEC exhibitor rules explain what applies.
- A busy spring calendar. Four large shows fall between mid-March and late April, so workshop slots fill early. See the full Morocco trade show calendar 2027.
The four planning steps for a spring 2027 stand
- First, the brief (about four months out): show, stand number, size, budget range, brand guidelines and the products you will display.
- Then, design and approval (ten to twelve weeks out): concept, 3D views and your sign-off, followed by technical drawings.
- Next, organiser submission (six to eight weeks out): drawings, structural notes and the contractor forms in your exhibitor manual.
- Finally, fabrication (about four weeks out): joinery, painting, printing and a test assembly in the workshop, then delivery in build order.
Extra time for international exhibitors
If you ship exhibits, add time for freight and customs. Our guide to ATA carnets and customs in Morocco covers the paperwork. In addition, allow for visas if your team travels. Exhibitors in a national pavilion should also follow the pavilion organiser’s deadlines, which often come earlier.
How we plan spring stands in Morocco
We design and build in our own workshop in Casablanca, so the stand is finished and test-assembled before it travels. That is how we built three stands for EVS Morocco in a single day and an 18 m² textile stand for SUMILON at OFEC in one build day. Frequently asked questions
When should I brief a stand builder for a spring 2027 show in Morocco?
About four months before the show. For Solaire Expo Maroc (16–18 March 2027) that means mid-November 2026; for SIAM and GITEX Africa in late April it means mid- to late December 2026.
How long does a custom stand take from brief to opening day?
Usually three to four months: about four weeks of concept and design, organiser approval six to eight weeks before the show, and about four weeks of fabrication in the workshop.
Why do stands in Morocco need such early planning?
Build windows are short, often one or two days at OFEC, so the stand has to be fully designed, approved and prefabricated before it reaches the hall.
What should I send my stand builder first?
The show name, your stand number and size, the hall plan if you have it, your brand guidelines and the products you will display.
Is it too late to brief in January for an April show?
Not always, but options narrow. A January brief for SIAM or GITEX Africa still works for a modular or simpler custom stand; complex builds and double decks need the December slot.
Do foreign exhibitors need extra time?
Yes. Allow time for freight and customs on any exhibits you ship, for example with an ATA carnet, and for visas if your team travels.
