Exhibition Stand Builder Marrakech
Custom stands for GITEX Africa at Place Bab Jdid, the Marrakech Air Show and the city’s congress venues, built in our Casablanca workshop
Looking for an exhibition stand builder in Marrakech? Marrakech hosts some of Morocco’s biggest international events: GITEX Africa, the continent’s largest technology show, the biennial Marrakech Air Show, and a steady flow of congresses and sector fairs in the Hivernage and Palmeraie districts. Each venue asks for a different kind of stand.
Echo Expo designs and builds stands for Marrakech from our own workshop in Casablanca, about 240 km away on the A7 motorway. We cut, paint, print and test-assemble every component in the workshop, then truck it to Marrakech in build order. As a result, we spend the days on site assembling, lighting and dressing the stand, not making it.
Exhibition Stand Builder Marrakech: the Venues at a Glance
- Place Bab Jdid (Bd Al Yarmouk, beside the medina walls): the temporary exhibition site of GITEX Africa, which the organiser now calls the Marrakech Exhibition & Convention Centre. GITEX used the site in 2026, from 7 to 9 April.
- Royal Moroccan Air Force base, Marrakech: home of the biennial Marrakech Air Show. The 8th edition ran from 7 to 10 October 2026 with about 200 exhibitors from 27 countries.
- Palais des Congrès de Marrakech (Avenue Mohammed VI, Hivernage): connected to the Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi hotel, with capacity for up to 5,500 people.
- Palmeraie conference centres: hotel and resort venues that host sector fairs, such as the first Cosmet Expo with 200 stands.
Sources: organiser websites and Moroccan press (Morocco World News, Le Matin, Le360), Fondation Mohammed VI, checked on 31 October 2026. Always confirm the venue in your exhibitor manual.
GITEX Africa at Place Bab Jdid
GITEX Africa 2027 runs from 26 to 28 April 2027, its fifth edition, with organiser targets of 1,600+ exhibitors and 60,000 visitors. Earlier editions took place at Place Bab Jdid. However, the organiser had not yet published the 2027 venue on gitexafrica.com when we checked, so confirm it in your exhibitor contract.
In practice, a GITEX stand revolves around screens, demos and meetings. Therefore, we plan power, data and cable routes inside the walls at the drawing stage, draw in meeting rooms from the first sketch and keep air moving, because late April in Marrakech is warm. Read the full brief on our GITEX Africa stand builder page.
The Marrakech Air Show
The Marrakech Air Show is a biennial aerospace and defence show at the Royal Moroccan Air Force base. In 2026, its 8th edition brought together about 200 exhibitors from 27 countries and more than 60 foreign delegations.

Congress and Hotel Venues in Hivernage and the Palmeraie
Many Marrakech events take place in congress centres and hotel ballrooms rather than exhibition halls. The Palais des Congrès de Marrakech in Hivernage is the largest. In addition, the Palmeraie resorts run conference centres that host sector fairs.
For an exhibition stand builder in Marrakech, these venues bring their own constraints:
- Access: loading bays, service lifts and corridors decide the largest panel that can reach the room. We size components to the access route, not only to the stand.
- Floor protection: ballrooms have finished floors and carpets, so stands sit on protected bases with no fixings.
- Short build windows: venues often hand over rooms only the night before, so a prefabricated, numbered stand is the only safe option.
- Ceiling heights and rigging: chandeliers and low ceilings limit height and hanging points, which we check against the venue plan before drawing.
Why an Exhibition Stand Builder from Casablanca Works for Marrakech
- One workshop, one crew: the same team that builds at OFEC Casablanca, including 67 stands in two days at SIEMA Food Expo 2026 and three stands in one build day at EVS Morocco 2026.
- No customs file for the stand: built in Morocco, the structure never crosses a border. See our ATA carnet and customs guide.
- In-house paint and print: we make changes in the workshop, not 240 km away. See our stand builder Casablanca page for the workshop.
- Storage and reuse: we can store a GITEX stand in our warehouse and reuse it at the next Moroccan show.
Finally, plan around April 2027 carefully: SIAM in Meknès runs from 19 to 27 April, overlapping GITEX. All dates are on our Morocco trade show calendar 2027.
Questions for Your Exhibition Stand Builder in Marrakech
Do you build exhibition stands in Marrakech?
Yes. We design and build stands for Marrakech venues, including GITEX Africa at Place Bab Jdid, from our own workshop in Casablanca, about 240 km away by motorway.
Where is GITEX Africa held in Marrakech?
GITEX Africa 2026 was held at Place Bab Jdid, Bd Al Yarmouk, from 7 to 9 April. The 2027 edition runs from 26 to 28 April 2027; confirm the venue in your exhibitor contract, as the organiser had not yet published it when we checked.
When is the next Marrakech Air Show?
The show is biennial. The 8th edition ran from 7 to 10 October 2026 at the Royal Moroccan Air Force base, so the next edition is expected in 2028, once the organiser announces the dates.
Can you build a stand in a Marrakech hotel or congress centre?
Yes. We size components to the venue’s loading access, protect the floors, avoid fixings and check ceiling heights and rigging points before drawing.
How far ahead should I plan a stand for Marrakech?
Three to four months before the show. For GITEX Africa in April 2027, start the design in January or February, because SIAM in Meknès overlaps and crews and trucks are in demand.
Do I need to ship my stand to Marrakech?
No. We deliver a stand built in our Casablanca workshop by road, so it never enters a customs file. Only your products and equipment need an ATA carnet or temporary admission.
